“Can I play with the playdough?” Five-year old Emely is so excited and fascinated about the playdough the teens made from scratch with a visitor last week. Even the babies get to play with it as it is made of all edible items from the kitchen.
Meanwhile Jency and Michelle are all caught up in newest curiosity in the garden; the tree house taking form under the supervision of a fresh and energy filled volunteer. Always creative Sarai is making sure we save all the hand made Halloween decorations a friend of ours did with the girls. Gaby spent the weekend practicing her rowing skills on the lake while Asly got to bake a cake with another volunteer.
We have been incredibly blessed the past month with visitors and their initiatives. The girls love learning new things. They always ask if they can help in the kitchen or do some kind of craft. Allison’s dream has always been to raise them in love and with all the skills necessary for adulthood. Our visitors and volunteers are such a help in that area with their ideas, initiatives and extra energy.
The girls love the company of visitors. Long after saying goodbye to their new friends the girls remember the joy of their company and the projects and games they did with them.
